Rider insurance agent let me do a 6-month plan for the summer on the Grom for cheap (35$/m o) . It’s posted for sale on a few sites, but I love short, <5 mile trips on it and I love riding without a jacket on it. The KLR and Triumph are too fast and large for me to feel safe without armor. The Grom? On 25 mph roads? Let’s get DANGEROUS! So this is basically a heads up that there will be more Grom-tent in the future.

Pic is from a few nights ago when I snuck into a harbor after they closed and rode on the docks.

If you aren’t going to ride that Trophy I can take it off your hands. ;)

Hey now, the constant rain of west Michigan doesn’t mean I’m looking to sell. Funnily enough, the Trophy is the only bike of the three that I haven’t considered selling :P

I’ve wanted one for a screw around bike. Something to ride and have fun on without the power of my main bike. I’d miss the power but the Grom/Z125 look fun.

I rode a friends and he almost didn’t get it back. Plus I could probably get away putting in my apartment and not raising suspicion. I think they weight like 240 lbs. I could easily push that, not like my Buell at 470.
That way I could have a little bike to screw around on, do wheelies on private property and be able to ride more often. Unlike my current situation, where my Buell is in my grandpa’s garage, and it’s 15 minutes there, 10 mins to gear up, 10 mins to go fill up and then I can go ride.

Then I sit in traffic and feel like a thanksgiving turkey from the heat it gives off.

Honestly, i tell people it is a terrible first or “only” bike. Once you’ve ridden for a bit, you can appreciate the simplicity and silliness of riding around in just a helmet and gloves to accompany your finest t-shirt and levis for shifting into 4th by 25 mph.

Plus, I got mine for well below market value. I am honestly trying to sell it. But I intend to rack up a coupe dozen more miles before I do so. Honestly, I am just a tad bit too large for it, and I bottom out the forks on bumps. I’d rather have a TW200 for a “toy” bike. But I do love bombing around places like the nearby lake with a harbor that I kinda/maybe/definitely rode around the entry lot arm thingys so I could ride on the wooden dock after dusk. Also I love how NO ONE cares when you do silly things on a Grom.

It’d just be a 2nd bike for me I could ride more often than my Buell.
Just like you said helmet, gloves, t shirt and jeans.

I’m 6'1 150lb, so a Grom isn’t too affected by my weight, it’s just I’m probably a little tall for one. But I do fit them I think and I’m comfy on it.
I’d probably look at Z125 because I hardly see them and theres a million groms around me.
